AUGUST 19 - TripAdvisor

We took our Mother for a 2 night stay and it was perfect. Alice and James were so kind, the house is charming, the rooms lovely and the garden is beautiful. It's the perfect place to stay when visiting Stratford upon Avon and the RSC. We returned to London so relaxed and happy and credit for that goes to Alice and James.

Two lovely nights at Stamford Hall

I stayed in the delightful home of James and Alice Kerr in Warwickshire for bed and breakfast. The room and en suite bathroom were spacious, immaculately clean and comfortable, with a view over the fields. The cooked breakfast was delicious and the home produced honey was a treat. James and Alice were friendly , welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The location is very quiet and deeply rural. A great place to get away from it all and enjoy the country. Not far from Stratford upon Avon.

MARCH 19  Sawdays

Alice and James are wonderful hosts. Knew from the email correspondence that they were professional hosts. We were greeted by a warm welcome followed by tea and homemade cake in their beautiful lounge. Spacious bedroom (top floor - a few stairs) was delightful - shabby chic. Very comfortable bed, incredibly powerful shower, and great views of surrounding countryside. above average pub in nearby village and a fabulous breakfast served in a beautiful dining room. 15 mins from J11 of M6 and easy access to Stratford or Warwick. Nothing was to much trouble - highly recommended.

It's all been said really.
The house is delightful and the hosts and the breakfasts match the house. Alice welcomed us with tea and cake.
The bedroom we stayed in was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast is comprehensive and delicious.
All in all, a relaxing and gratifying place to stay that offers value and pleasant surroundings.
Easy distance from Stratford.
Highly recommended!

SEPTEMBER 18 Sawdays

The four of us were warmly welcomed by Alice - and it was delightful to have afternoon tea with delicious home made apple cake in the beautiful garden. We liked our adjoining en-suite rooms in the attic, and the cooked breakfast on Sunday morning with home made jams and fruit compote was delicious. Have already recommended this lovely B&B to neighbours & friends and plan to return ourselves.

Alice and James were very welcoming and friendly. The room and en suite bathroom were spacious and comfortable with a lovely view over the fields. The breakfast was splendid and I really enjoyed the compote and home produced honey. James and Alice were fascinating hosts and we had interests in common. When we returned from our day out Alice gave us plates and cutlery for our room picnic. They are knowledgeable about the local area and gave us good recommendations, including where to go to mass. We really want to pay them a return visit. The location is beautifully quiet. A real get away.

"This is a really welcoming and comfortable place to stay. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden with a cup of earl grey and slice of homemade lemon drizzle cake after a long journey. It is not far into Stratford Upon Avon by car and there is plenty of parking there. The room was really comfortable and peaceful and we had a really good night's sleep. The cooked breakfast was delicious. Thank you Alice and James."

"What a delightful, peaceful place to stay! James & Alice were so kind and such generous hosts. We were welcomed with a pot of tea and delicious lime drizzle cake, thank you Alice! Our room was spacious, quiet and immaculately clean. A wonderful breakfast to start our days. James & Alice recommended places to visit locally which helped us make the most of our stay. Thank you both for looking after us so well. We left many places still to visit, so we will be returning as soon as possible."

“My wife and I stayed for two nights B & B on the 19th/20th July 2016 at Stamford Hall Farmhouse. On arrival we were greeted by Alice and James the owners and within 10 minutes we were sitting outside drinking a welcoming cup of tea and homemade Lemon drizzle cake (to die for). Our bedroom is on the 2nd floor with views overlooking fields full of gold (this one was ready for harvesting) it had all you would want i.e TV, free WiFi, tea making facilities, the bathroom has a full size bath with overhead shower and lots of toiletries and good size soft bath towels Breakfast was great and all the jams, marmalade, conserves are made by Alice. James and Alice recommended a number of gastro pubs and we ate in two of them and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The location in ideally suited to those who like the National Trust and Shakespeare or just a break.” We would definitely go back”

“beautiful in every respect - from the gardens when you arrive to the beautiful old furniture and decor to the lovely bedroom and bathroom. Fantastic welcome with tea and home made cake, excellent breakfasts with home made jams, etc. Also, decent coffee in the room with fresh milk. Very hospitable - we went to the theatre and they gave us a programme of the play to look at. Recommended an excellent place for dinner and lots of other tips. Nothing too much trouble.
Room Tip: Make sure you know exactly how to get there - it's not easy to find”
