We live five miles east of Stratford upon Avon near to the village of Ettington. Situated in rural rolling countryside, our Grade Two listed mellow brick built farmhouse can trace its origins back to the late 18th century. A perfect base for exploring Shakespeare's Stratford, going to the RSC, visiting Warwick & Kenilworth's majestic castles or the beautiful Cotswolds. Chipping Campden, Stow, or Hidcote Gardens are all only a short drive away. Alternatively just the place to come and relax in comfortable surroundings.
We are an hour and a half drive up the M40 from London, Forty minutes from Birmingham Airport. Oxford can be reached in under an hour.
Your Hosts
James and Alice Kerr moved from London some fifteen years ago. When the house was purchased it had been a working farm and needed a thorough overhaul. Decorated and furnished using many family pieces they have turned it into a beautiful home for their family. It has been featured in 'Country Homes & Interiors', and is often used as a location for photographic shoots.
Alice is a great homemaker, a knowledgeable and accomplished gardener, Cordon Bleu cook and dressmaker.
